HISTORY
Originally established in 1941, the historic Austin Homes public housing area is being redeveloped and modernized.
In collaboration with the community, this revitalization will create a true sense of place that generates pride for Austin Homes residents, while preserving the history and culture.
The vision for Austin Homes is a mixed-use space that will serve a variety of socioeconomic levels through the replacement of existing affordable housing, as well as the construction of new, affordable, workforce, and market rate housing.
This revitalization will create double the number of housing units available on the 23-acre site.
