My duties as Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager are to distribute new or updated drawings and specifications. Research drawing interpretations, problems, conflicts and errors. Research, transmit and monitor RFI's. Prepare a submittal log in accordance with the project schedule and specifications. Monitor and expedite submittals in accordance with the submittal log and project requirements. Follow through as required. Maintain and update status reports as required. Attend and document project meetings. Oversee general correspondence as required. Manage close-out process.
Assist with change order documentation and compilation. Perform additional assignments per project manager or superintendent direction. Must be able to lift/move materials up to 40lbs in weight
Record details and updates all aspects of the project in document control and site management with task performance in the field and office. Manage the bid distribution / submission process in conjunction the Construction Administrators and the Estimator. Prepare submittals. Be stationed at the project site or otherwise as deemed necessary by the Project Manager. Organize files for all documentation and document control. Write and distributes RFIs, correspondence, meeting minutes, procurement requests and all replies. Attend progress, safety, site coordination, and ad hoc meetings. Assist the Superintendent with determining material handling and storage logistics. Coordinate Owner Furnished Equipment and Systems delivery and installation with project staff.
Assist in the management of the punch list process. In conjunction with Construction Administrators obtain all closeout materials from subcontractors and suppliers including guarantees and warranties, as-builts, final pay applications, lien releases, Operations and Maintenance Manuals, and coordinate Owner Training of Equipment. Possess working knowledge of all project plans, specifications, and other assigned duties not listed.
