Kevin Wright Carney's Bio
Kevin Wright Carney became President and CEO of Silver Gauntlet International in June of 2015. He is a board Certified Protection Professional with ASIS International. He is also a retired sergeant with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, having served over 23 years.
He made the transition to the security industry in 2008 and served in a variety of executive roles, including General Manager of a statewide security and investigations firm in California. In that role, he oversaw the security of numerous construction projects, among other types of clients.
From that experience and the security challenges at construction sites, he was inspired to write the book Securing the Outdoor Construction Site which was published by Butterworth Heinemann for the first time in 2015, and committed himself to developing strategies for prevention and mitigation of crimes at construction sites.
He has a Bachelor’s Degree from California State University, Northridge in Political Science with an area of specialization in Foreign Government, and speaks English, Spanish, French, German and Italian. He is the author of three books.
Paul L. Scauzillo's Bio
Paul Scauzillo joined the company in 2015. He brings a combined 37 years of law enforcement and private security executive management to the company. He is a retired Lieutenant with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department and has spent many years investigating crime, both as a Deputy Sheriff and a Detective Sergeant. Paul has a vast knowledge of criminal street crime and has used his expertise to solve crime problems not only in police work but also as an executive manager for private security firms. He has developed an expertise in metal thefts and has formulated solutions to combat this crime in the construction industry. His knowledge and experience uniquely qualify him to develop strategies and plans to combat and mitigate construction site losses.
He was a security supervisor at the Home Depot Center in Carson CA during MLS soccer matches.
Paul has a bachelor’s degree in history from Hofstra University in New York and has taught criminal justice in several colleges in the Los Angeles area. In his spare time, he likes to research law enforcement historical information. He enjoys watching hockey and soccer and recently completed a tour of English Football (soccer) stadiums.
