I lived alone in Bldg 5453 on the 2nd floor for 6 years (Sep 2011 - Oct 2017) and really enjoyed my apartment. I can definitely recommend Bldg 5453. It's not luxurious, but is a bargain for the reasonable rent I paid. As for the entire complex, I loved the beautiful landscaping and trees, and I enjoyed that view from my bedroom --plus the woods bordering the complex. When the trees turn color in the Fall, it's lovely. I had two huge windows front and back receiving lots of natural light, with deep window sills enjoyed by my cats. I was fortunate that during my time there, they replaced all the windows in my building. I thought the kitchen had plenty of room. The maintenance men are hard-working and pleasant. Thankfully I experienced no problems and I feel this apartment was a bargain. I utilized the laundromat around the corner on Sprinkle and really loved it. The rent is not terribly high, so my expectations were met. I found the office staff to be helpful on the few occasions I needed to deal with them. Courtney is especially nice. For the most part, in six years, almost all my neighbors in my building were pleasant. I was sorry to leave because I loved my particular apartment, 2D.
So on August 5th my shower broke. I tried to adjust the spray of the water and the pipe broke off in the wall. My shower immediately stopped spraying. Now my bath still works but not the shower. I go down to the office and the lady says something along the lines of "ill get the work order put in asap" I'm like alright cool. I go about my business, and like a week later, still no maintenance. I go back to the office and ANOTHER woman tells me that we're on the list, theres just a lot of work orders right now. But that they will be there within the next day or so. I accept that and continue about my business. Now here we are 11 flipping days after the fact. I call back to the office cause at this point I'm irritated. I want to take a real shower. YET ANOTHER OFFICE LADY has the audacity to tell me there is no work order in for my apartment. They apparently never put in the request to fix my shit. So why was I told by 2 different people they would be there soon? This all after it took them 2 years to replace our a.c. unit. I'm royally pissed. Why do I pay these people over 600 a month if they wont even fix our shit?
Worst place I've ever lived. Requests for maintenance go unanswered. Went to court today on issue regarding corner of my apartment ripped off two years ago due to lawn maintenance! Have requested their maintenance on more than 5 separate occasions. In court today the office staff LIED and said they knew nothing about these problems and how could they know? Through asmosis? Well, first of all they've known for over two years! I get home today and miraculously one of my corner pieces is replaced...hmm. last maintenance request had 3 requests on it. Two have now been completed! How is that possible??? YEAH DEFINITELY SHOULD HAVE GONE TO TRIAL AND CAUGHT BOTH OF THEM COMMITTING PERJURY!
THIS IS THE WORST PLACE TO EVER LIVED UNLESS YOU LIKE GREETING NUMEROUS VARMINTS INTO YOUR HOME! Oh yeah.. .. And unresponsive office personnel who only want to party all day and laugh about how they are screwing all their tenants over. Karma is as karma does.....What do you mean?
Jesus does not like liars! Period!
My fiance and I have lived here for about 3 years and when we first moved in a lot of people told us it was a bad apartment complex but it is not bad at all in fact is one of the best in my opinion. It's nice clean apartments and the staff are really friendly and helpful! The community is great and makes you feel welcome! I would definitely recommend Davis Creek apartments to all my friends!
Nice clean apartments, we lived here about 6mo. so and its been really nice. They encourage community by having community events. I am greatly impressed with the maintenance staff and their response, the grounds are kept nice and clean and all service requests that I have submitted have been meet with swift action and professional quality. I have no worries of theft or vandalism, I have not meet anyone that I would be worried about and the Portage Police frequently drive through just to check in. The office staff is great, they do their best to remember your name and can most of the time remember your apartment number, that says a lot to me, I don't feel like a number. All in all this is pretty nice place and would recomend it.
I would not recommend these apartments to anybody. you over pay for a one bedroom heaters keep going out. everybody is nosey and quick to tell on you for something the office harrasses you. you feel like you live in a prison cell . we were told that we could not stand on the belcony and talk with neighbors we had to take it inside. we cant stand outside and drink a beer with neighbors. one person gets blamed whether it was that person or not. They will enter your apartment anytime they want to, doesnt matter if you have a notice or not. people can threaten to "shoot" up the building and the office cant do anything about it mean while we are all scared to go out alone or even have our kids home because of this. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!
I have friends who stay in building 25 that have been infested with bed bugs from their neighbors. They are too cheap to treat it correctly. Chemicals alone won't do anything. They should be sending the whole building to a hotel and using the Heat Treatment on each one. I am so disgusted and feel sorry for the people who had no idea that it all started with an old man and used furniture.
Nasty moldy apartment, they do not care about any of their tenants. Brought the mold issue to their attention about 4 months ago, and they have not done one thing to help us. Found mold in our attic. It's all over our ceilings. We have a huge crack in the ceiling that just keeps getting worse. For the past two months, i've gotten terrible headaches, and my body is always hurting specially my neck. Pictures in comments. DO NOT RENT.
