Scope Of Work

MW Builders served as Construction Manager for George West ISD’s bond program. Improvements include approximately 59,000 SF of additions and renovations for the District’s elementary, junior high, and high schools.  The bond program included a new elementary school wing, and a high school fine arts, multipurpose and a 700-seat competition gymnasium addition.

The high school addition is 45,000 SF in size, consisting of structural masonry on a suspended structural slab. This facility boasts a new 550-seat competition gym, new 600 seat fine arts theatre/multipurpose area, and new band hall. Work at the high school stadium included addition of ADA compliant walks, ramps, and spectator seating. At the elementary, an old classroom wing was abated and demolished, electrical gear for the entire elementary was upgraded, a new 6,210 SF classroom wing was added, and existing restrooms were upgraded to be ADA compliant. Additional work outside of the bond program included addition of ADA compliant restrooms at the Junior High School, and renovations of the Junior High athletic field house.
