Scope Of Work

This project consists of the redesign, removal and replacement of the Control/Safety Tower, design,  alterations/renovations and repairs of the LP fuel, water, air, and nitrogen systems; repair or  replacement of the ground burners, airframe burners, and igniter system; installation of a new 480-volt 3-phase electrical system and repair or replacement of all switches and controls including the Control Panel; repairs and upgrades to the LPG tank system; replacement of the High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) liners for the burn pit and water conservation pond; and replacement of the cathodic protection system. Remove aircraft mock-up from burn area and stored in a protected area while performing the site work for this project. Remove pipe supports from burn pit if needed to support the mock-up while in storage. Also remove and store the Engine Debris Fire Trainer, mounted over a ground burner at the left front of the aircraft mock-up. Install new HDPE liner system. The basic design consists of a sealed three layer system of two 80-mil HDPE exible membrane liners (FML) separated by an interior drainage ow net (National Seal Company Poly-Net 3000 or equal). The system continues downward and beyond the burn area structure to the end of the pipe trench to function as a collection system to accumulate, detect, and permit removal of any leaked uids. FMLs should not to be used as a structural component.
