When it comes to the story of Aztec Contractors; it’s all about family, a love for building and Southwest Texas.

The company was established by Frank X. Spencer in 1989 and sold to his son Frank Spencer III in 2006. With his purchase of the company, Frank III brought in a new era of leadership, systems of operations, and a vision to continue a family legacy of building.

It was a natural step for the fifth generation Spencer to venture in to the construction business. Frank was raised in Pecos, Texas and graduated from New Mexico Military Institute, and then followed with a Bachelor of Arts degree at Texas A&M University.

The family’s building legacy has been synonymous with quality construction, integrity, and professionalism throughout Southwest Texas. Aztec Contractors, Inc. has been recognized for many accomplishments over the past four years including recognition as a Future 15 Business in 2008 and Minority Construction Firm of the Year in 2009. The Aztec Team is dedicated to “building on a strong foundation” that represents the cornerstone of this family owned business.

Aztec Contractors, Inc. has grown into a multidimensional General Contractor providing General Construction and Construction Management Services on Commercial, Federal, Industrial and Residential Projects. The Aztec Team has strategically aligned its partnerships to serve Northern/Southern California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Mexico.
