Traditional granular rubber surfaces incorporate randomly dispersed rubber “pebbles” that “float” in a binder. As the binder begins to deteriorate with age and climatic changes, these “pebbles” are free to separate and break away from the surface.

\r\nThe SEAL-FLEX matrix is composed of interlocking stranded rubber particles bound by a tough latex compound and permanently bonded to an asphalt substrate. The chemical interaction of these materials combined with the interlocking rubber strands creates a durable, seamless, web-like mat surface.

\r\nUnlike granular surfaces, SEAL-FLEX rubber particles won’t “pick” out or break loose under the regular punishment of track shoe spike action. its chemical composition resists oxidizing or degeneration under ultra-violet rays or climatic changes. Should it be at one of our thousands of outdoor tracks, indoor fieldhouses or multipurpose gymnasiums, you will feel the difference a Beynon surface makes.

We use surveying equipment to take measurements of the layout of the track and computer programs to accurately pinpoint where all lines and event markings are to be placed for a given track since no two tracks are exactly the same. We put down the standard IHSA markings on each track, but can also accommodate additional races or events at request of the school. Additionally, we have experience in painting school logos, per request, that can really set a track apart from the rest. The paint used is a mixture of high-quality marking paints, which allows for crisp vibrant markings, and a longer period of time before they begin to fade from use of the track. Precision and accuracy are the keys to laying down race lines and markings for events on a running track.
