Our Story
ARGO Systems, LLC was formed in 2004 by founders Mark Powell and Jeff Johnson, with the ideals to provide exceptional technical support to the Government and the construction industry built upon the extensive knowledge and expertise of its employees and partners.
Both graduates of the United Stated Naval Academy, Mark and Jeff combined their experience in Research and Development, Project Management, and Engineering to create a diverse and agile company focused on delivering successful solutions to complex projects with the flexibility to adapt to the ever-changing Construction and Engineering market.
ARGO System has a diverse portfolio of projects highlighting our variety of services. ARGO’s early contracts included the new construction of a Community Center with Bowling Alley and Irish Pub in Naples, Italy; Field Support to NSWC Carderock; a Software Delivery to The Department of Veterans Affairs, and Oyster Restoration in Delaware Bay. Throughout it tenure in both the Government and Private markets, ARGO has continued work at most of its original project locations, maintains a BPA contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Multiple projects for agencies throughout the Department of Defense and has completed multiple other Oyster Restoration and Environmental Contracts.
In January 2012, ARGO Systems acquired the assets of AmDyne Corporation. AmDyne was founded in 1988 and gained the reputation as a very well-respected industry leader in Environmental Engineering Services. The acquisition of AmDyne was an integral aspect of ARGO’s growth in the Construction and Engineering Industry. The AmDyne acquisition provided significant growth by enhancing quality, providing experienced personnel, and operational capabilities. Additionally, the AmDyne corporate culture and ethics blended perfectly with ARGO’s methodologies and business practices to form a world-class team focused on providing successful solutions to every customer.
In 2017, ARGO Systems added an Electrical Division which added the capabilities to self-perform all types of electrical construction projects. ARGO self-performance capabilities include Electrical Construction, Medium Voltage Distribution, Emergency Power Systems, Substation and Transformer Installations, Underground Distribution Systems, Grounding and Lightning Protection, Civil Works Associated with Electrical Systems, Preventative Maintenance Programs, and Low Voltage Systems inclusive of Fire Alarms, Life Safety, Security and VDV.
