Along with his Civil Engineering background, Steve brings a wealth of experience in the Construction industry. Since 2012, he has served as the Director of Diversity Services for Kaiser Permanente National Facility Service. During his tenure at Kaiser Permanente, he developed strategies and worked with multiple stakeholders while maintaining a $4 Billion capital budget. Prior to his role at Kaiser Permanente, Steve served as Project Manager, Corporate Community Relations Manager, and Green Champion for Swinerton Builders.
Steve is a LEED accredited professional and Green Building advocate. He is well versed in Sustainable Design and Construction. He served on the Board of Directors for the US Green Building Council in Los Angeles. Steve is an active member of many diversity driven organizations throughout the country, his resume includes, the National Association of Minority Contractors, National Minority Supplier Development Council, Women Business Enterprise National Council, Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce, Chinese American Contractor Professionals, National Society of Black Engineers and the American Society of Civil Engineers. Steve also co-founded and chairs the National Forum for Diversity in Construction and serves on the advisory board for the National Association of Minority Contractors of Northern and Southern California chapters.
