Matthew l. Lovell's Bio
Matt Lovell has 10 years experience in the commercial construction industry, with a comprehensive knowledge of all associated subcontractor trades. He has extensive experience in all commercial construction sectors as well as an educational background in design.
Matt graduated in 2005 with a Bachelors of Science in Architecture from University of Texas at San Antonio in 2005. He pursued a career in the commercial construction industry, which took him to Dallas, Texas. While in Dallas, he started as an Intern and Assistant Superintendent and quickly rose to Superintendent in one year, in which his company specialized in interior finish-out in the commercial office sector. From that point he transitioned to a Superintendent/Project Manager working solely on Coca Cola Warehouses and bottling facilities throughout Texas. This opportunity allowed him to travel and see different sites and types of construction at all of Coca Cola facilities, while working with a wide spectrum of subcontractors. They also created an ERT (Emergency Response Team) for Coca Cola regional Corporate Head Quarters. Their responsibility was to mobilize within 24 hours to any site when there was a construction issue that needed to be addressed as well as any facilities that were affected by natural disasters.
In 2008 Matt moved back to San Antonio and worked as an Estimator for a company that specialized in tenant finish-out. After a year and a half of estimating he was promoted to Estimator/Project Manager in which he managed the projects he estimated. In this role he managed the project from the bid inception, to facilitating the proposal, setting up the job at award and managing it to completion. Matt was responsible for all contract and subcontracts and project budgets. This position allowed him to gain valuable experience both on the preconstruction and project management/procurement sides. This basis and experience molded Matt to the Senior Project Manager position he holds today.
