Allen Jacobs's Bio
My name is Allen B. Jacobs, and I am co-owner of Sunset Creek Realty. I have had a real estate license since 1979. I have enjoyed a very successful sales career with 3 different companies during that time, when I generated over 500 sales. In 1987, I was the number one sales person of a large company with over 125 agents.
In 1994, after 15 years in real estate sales, I felt it was time for a slight change in my career. I stopped selling full-time and opened up Sunset Creek Development with my business partner Jim Goodridge. We are proud of our constructionprojects that have featured classic New England architecture as well as those projects that involved rehabbing historic structures. Meanwhile, I kept one foot in the real estate business as I maintained my real estate license and utilized it to sell our new homes.
After 11 very successful years in the development and building business, Jim and I felt it was time to expand our company. Sunset Creek Realty, located at 1100 Boston Post Road in Guilford, is a full service real estate company in Guilford. Our vision for the company is the same as ours for our construction company – that of the highest quality around.
Over the years in business as a builder and as a Realtor, I have worked with hundreds of agents. I can honestly say that your chances of success in buying or selling property is only as good as the individual agent who represents you. As such our company will not be a “bigger than everybody” company with 50 agents crammed into one office. We will, by design, be a small office, and any agent you deal with will be a proven professional. Jim Goodridge's Bio
Hi, my name is Jim Goodridge, co-owner of Sunset Creek Realty. I have over 30 years of experience in the building business, and am dedicated to building Sunset Creek Development to its fullest potential.
When I am not out seeking attractive locations to develop into interesting, challenging, and well-designed building projects, I can often be found surveying the land with my new Christmas “toy” – a drone that takes fabulous aerial shots throughout Guilford and Connecticut. I have been working with Sunset Creek Realty for a few years now, I
love working with a group of amazing REALTOR’s with many years of
experience and compassion for what they do.
I am a single parent
of three daughters and a son, and a grandmother of one granddaughter.
I previously managed a primary care physician’s office after retiring
from the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier for 16
years. I am an avid believer that education is the key to everything
in life; I have an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, a Bachelor’s
Degree in Health Care Administration and a Master’s Degree in Human
Behavior.
My oldest daughter bought her home when she was 23
years old, and 6 years later to the day my middle daughter closed on
her first home also at the age of 23. Comparing the two experiences I
realized there is a right way and a wrong way to help a client. This
experience increased my passion to become a REALTOR and made me
realize that with my outgoing personality, college education and

Growing up in the Garden District of New Orleans, Emily developed an early appreciation of architecture and interior design. The gift of 28 years in that city lent a deep reverence and fascination with the idea of Home as both a practicality and fundamental part of who we are.
Having spent summers and holidays with her grandparents in Lyme, Essex, and on Fishers Island, she has always considered the Connecticut shoreline home and is thrilled to now be a resident of both Old Lyme and Chester.

Jennifer has a strong local history. Having moved to Guilford with her family in 1982, she has grown very fond of and close to the shoreline community. Jennifer has a background of more than 25 years in human resources. Hi, my name is Stephanie Jacobs and I am pleased to say I have been on the Sunset Creek Realty team since Feb 2017. As Allen's daughter, I grew up with real estate as (pardon the pun) a foundational element of my life. I have always viewed real estate as a match-making business that allows me to help people find the right homes in which they will live their lives, and that idea was central in making my decision to join the team.
Having worked for Sunset Creek Realty in the office since high school, I’ve had the chance to experience the company climate firsthand, so when the time came for me to seek my license, I couldn’t have chosen a better opportunity than I have here.
