President and Owner of MAC Inspection and Welding Agency, LLC (also known as MIWA). Michael Coleman is also the Operator of MIWA and performs the following: Manages day to operation of the office and field, inspects Boiler, Pressure Vessels, Piping & Structural Steel Components to any Code under the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the American Welding Society (AWS) Codes. MIWA can also perform Federal & State Inspections, Annual Safety Inspections, Operational & Casualty Inspections and ASME “R” Inspections or Third Party Inspections and Quality Control Inspections.
Michael Coleman also can qualify welders to the above Code Standards and provide their Certifications.

Responsible for Managing (QCM) the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and American Welding Society (AWS) Welding Programs, through a Quality System. Performed all weld inspections, quality control inspections and ASME documentation and Inspections.

Responsible for certifying welder qualifications and development of welding procedures through meticulous training and monitoring of personnel.

Managed the Computer Engineering Welding Pro-Write Software to ensure that all welder continuity records are updated and welding procedures are correctly certified.

Prior to working for Hartford Steam Boiler and Inspection Company I served in The United States Navy
from 1983 through February 2003. I retired from the Navy as a Senior Chief. During my naval career Iwas stationed in the Mediterranean constantly advancing my career. During my tenure in the Navy I was assigned to diesel and steam driven ships where I developed my experience in welding and ASME pressure vessels. Re-calculated/De-rated Jessup Correctional Facility Steam Plant Boilers (4) with new limit control switches, safety relief valves and operationally tested each boiler controls IAW CSD-1. The successful de-rating of each boiler was stamped with new operational limits (non-National Board stamping). Following the certification of the boilers the newly installed main steam piping, around the entire Facility, was tested and then allowed to be put into service. This saved millions of dollars in replacing the new steam piping. (2012)
