Jeff Katkowsky's Bio
After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University in 1992, Jeff accumulated extensive experience in estimating a wide spectrum of work throughout the country. Over the course of his career, Jeff has overseen the estimating and procurement of millions of square feet in the following key arenas: apartment and condominium buildings; restaurant, retail, medical, general office and hospitality.
In addition to his primary responsibilities that include procuring, analyzing and value engineering, Jeff oversees the day-to-day operations of Sachse Construction’s estimating department. As a principal of the company, Jeff is also responsible for awarding and negotiating owner and subcontractor contracts.
Jeff has been recognized for his unique ability to integrate team members of all types to produce bottom line results without sacrificing design. Jeff credits much of his success to his vast knowledge of construction cost and comprehensive network of subcontractors and vendors throughout North America. He currently resides in Huntington Woods, Michigan with his wife and three children.
Lou Goldhaber's Bio
As Chief of Staff, Lou Goldhaber serves our Enterprise of companies as an in-house adviser to help ideate, develop, create, and execute key initiatives and projects throughout our six companies. Lou provides strategic oversight and supports all the entity stakeholders in the development of processes and plans which continuously raise the bar for not only The Enterprise, but also the real estate and construction industries. Additionally, Lou is responsible for identifying existing processes in need of improvement and providing comprehensive solutions for enhancement. Lou provides leadership, guidance, and the resources necessary to ensure cross-functional teams and managers are supported in their endeavors throughout the Enterprise.
Lou joined the Enterprise in 2013 as the first Special Projects Leader with responsibilities including owner’s representation, project management, and client service. In this role, Lou successfully oversaw the development of many Detroit projects including the Albert – Capitol Park, a 127-unit mixed use historical redevelopment, and The Scott at Brush Park, a 350,000 square foot 199-unit ground up development. Lou currently sits on the board of directors for The Woodward Society, a real estate organization focusing on real estate development in Detroit as well as Hillel of Metro Detroit.
Lou resides in Huntington Woods with his wife Amye, their son Ray, and daughter Stevie Jane. Having been born and raised in Pittsburgh, Lou is an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Mark A. Nasr's Bio
As General Counsel for Sachse Construction, Mark A. Nasr, Esq. provides strategic legal guidance to the executive leadership team, and advises our team members on workplace safety and health practices. With over 10 years of construction and litigation experience representing general contractors and other design professionals, Mark guides field team members and leadership on job site documentation best practices and contract negotiations.
Prior to joining the Sachse Construction team, Mark worked at a large national law firm where his practice concentrated on complex litigation matters in state and federal courts, and binding arbitration. He is licensed to practice in all Michigan (State and Federal) courts and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Mark is a skilled negotiator backed by a demonstrated history of successful results for clients, from eight-figure construction agreements to seven-figure claim resolutions, and more. His efforts have earned him the recognition of a Michigan Super Lawyers Rising Star in Construction Law each year since 2015.
Mark earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering. His impressive legal experience coupled with the unique perspective from his studies make him an invaluable addition to the team. Mark currently resides in Troy with his wife and three children. When he’s out of office (and court), he enjoys spending time with family and friends, biking, and cheering on the Detroit Pistons.
Paul D’Ambrosio's Bio
Paul D’Ambrosio joined Sachse Construction in June of 2016 as senior vice president and chief financial officer. Paul oversees the finance and accounting functions and brings extensive financial and operational leadership experience in the Engineering and Construction industry to Sachse. Prior to joining the team, Paul was Chief Financial Officer of a construction company in San Francisco where he was a member of the executive management team, responsible for guiding the strategic direction of the firm. He has also held senior financial and operations positions at major Engineering and Construction companies in his 35-year career.
Paul currently resides in downtown Detroit and does not miss the long commutes to work. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Villanova University and his Master of Business Administration in Finance from the Rutgers Business School.
Richard Broder's Bio
Richard Broder, CPM, is our Vice President—responsible for many areas of corporate planning and administration for the company, as well as being responsible for the day-to-day operations of properties under contract. Richard is a 1983 graduate of the University of Michigan, where he earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Urban Studies. Upon graduation, he joined Farbman/Stein and Company as a property manager and leasing agent.
Prior to joining us as Vice President, Richard was Executive Vice President of Farbman/Stein, and was responsible for its operations including management of over 12.5 million square feet of commercial, retail, office, residential and industrial real estate. He is involved in a variety of community and charitable organizations, and holds an Associate Broker’s license in the State of Michigan in addition to being the Broker of Record for his company, Broder & Sachse Real Estate Services.
Richard is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) of the Institute of Real Estate Management. He resides in West Bloomfield, Michigan with his wife and two daughters.
Ron Henry's Bio
As Senior Vice President at Sachse Construction, Ron Henry is responsible for building new customer relationships, achieving financial growth, and establishing and executing business strategy. Ron’s extensive industry experience spans the institutional, higher education, and healthcare markets. His deep understanding of construction, architecture, engineering, and real estate position him as a versatile and esteemed leader.
Ron’s experience includes prior leadership roles with Beaumont Health as Corporate Vice President of Real Estate, Design and Construction; Detroit Medical Center as Senior Vice President of Facilities Management, Engineering and Construction; Plante Moran CRESA as Senior Vice President of Healthcare; and AECOM (formerly URS Corporation) as Managing Principal – Michigan. He previously managed multi-million-dollar projects, including the day-to-day management of large lease portfolios, tenant leasing strategies, land acquisitions, and dispositions.
Ron Henry earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University and his Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan. He is also a licensed architect in 44 U.S. states, is a member of the American Institute of Architects, and sits on the board of directors for the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan Foundation, Engineering Society of Detroit, and the Alumni Council of the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning.
Ron lives in downtown Detroit with his wife and loves traveling to see his three children who live across the country. A thrill-seeker at heart, Ron enjoys checking items off his bucket list from climbing Machu Picchu to waterskiing and snow skiing.
Steven R. Berlage's Bio
Steven Berlage joined Sachse Construction as President and COO in 2013, and oversees the day to day operations of our Construction, Pre-Construction, Estimating, Finance, and Accounting Departments. Steve’s career has spanned over 30 years with a large commercial builder in three markets; Chicago, Toronto, and Detroit. His leadership has produced a proven track record of growing profitable business and expanding into new markets.
Steve earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan in 1982, and is a strong supporter of the Michigan Wolverines on game days. He grew up in Charlevoix, MI and currently resides in Troy with his wife and three (3) children.
Todd Sachse's Bio
As the founder of Sachse Construction, Todd Sachse has developed a loyal clientele of high-end customers who require detailed expertise in design and construction. He also undertakes construction projects that include the renovation of vintage buildings, office buildings, hotels, schools, shopping centers, medical office and general office build-outs, build-to-suits, retail centers, restaurants, airports and the development and construction of multi-family projects.
Todd earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan in 1985 and upon graduation, founded and operated several businesses related to property operations and maintenance. He is a licensed builder in multiple states, in addition to being an actively involved board member for several non-profit organizations. Todd currently resides in Huntington Woods, Michigan with his wife and three children.

Chris Gould's Bio
Christopher Gould has been in the construction industry for nearly twenty years and has experience in both the field and office. His experience has touched most every market ranging from heavy industrial, to national retail, to historic renovation and office tenant improvements. He has held positions as Project Manager, Project Engineer, Business Owner and currently oversee Commercial Estimating as Vice President of Sachse Construction. Based on this diverse background, he has the ability take projects from concept to reality while keeping timing and construction costs in line.
Chris received his Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction Management from Michigan State University. He currently lives in Livonia with his wife and five kids.
Jay McKee's Bio
As Sachse’s Vice President and Director of Preconstruction, Jay McKee oversees the pre-construction services of the firm’s commercial group through lump sum bidding, conceptual estimating, budgeting, procurement, constructability, and business development. Additionally, McKee develops and maintains relations with the local trade partner community to enhance Sachse Construction’s customer service.
With over 20 years of construction experience, Jay specializes in the commercial, data center, healthcare, retail, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing markets. Jay gained his diverse experience from advancing through field assignments to management positions including business development and operations. He has worked with clients such as Bedrock Detroit, WeWork, Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn, Amerisure Insurance, General Motors, Disney, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Dell, WPP, and Henry Ford Health System.
Jay currently resides in Oakland County with his wife and two sons. In his spare time, Jay enjoys golf, skiing, and participating in Boy Scouts of America activities.

Aaron Paczkowski's Bio
Aaron Paczkowski is a commercial project manager with Sachse Construction. A seasoned professional, Aaron has over 25 years of diverse industry experience as a project manager, superintendent, and project engineer. His portfolio includes an array of hospitality, gaming, resort, retail, restaurant, and other commercial projects throughout the United States. Building trust through constant communication is essential to Aaron’s success. As a project manager, he is responsible for managing budgets and schedules, and mitigating project challenges to see a project through to completion. Aaron is always searching for better ways to execute his project management duties, a testament to his adaptive and adept work ethic. He shares his knowledge with his team and nurtures their strength, which aid in delivering an unsurpassed experience and completed product to clients.
Aaron currently resides in Grosse Pointe, Michigan and spends his free time cycling, backpacking, and exploring the outdoors. His favorite hike to date is the Pacific Crest Trail in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Jim Jehle's Bio
Jim Jehle commands more than 30 years experience in the construction industry, and has had the flexibility and expertise to serve in multiple roles, including Vice President of Development, Project Manager, Purchasing Manager and Estimator. His extensive skills have proven crucial in numerous projects, from mixed-use and high-end retail to tenant improvement and residential developments. Jim’s mastery of his trade was instrumental in high-profile builds like The Willits Condos in downtown Birmingham, Main North Lofts in Royal Oak, and Ann Arbor developments Ashley Terrace and the 411 Lofts — more than a million combined square feet.
Jim is a results-focused, effective leader with a remarkable ability to analyze and solve problems, create and nurture team atmospheres and maintain budgets and schedules. As Project Manager, he embodies our core values and is responsible for attaining team objectives, allocating resources and ensuring the overall success of the project. He believes in working hard and doing things right, and it’s qualities like these that have made him such a valued member of our team.
Jim currently resides in Troy, Michigan with his wife and two children. He has an appreciation for vintage cars, and enjoys what he refers to as a “patch and repair love affair” with one of his own.
John Ealy's Bio
John Ealy started with us back in the mid-nineties, and has been involved in a variety of local, regional and national projects that have expanded his expertise in pre-construction, estimating and project management. He has served as our Project Manager on more than $300 million in projects. His abilities have grown to reflect a unique combination of executive management, procurement, design-build and renovation proficiency that has gotten him recognized for his ability to skillfully integrate and manage large-scale construction projects. John is also a licensed contractor who owned and operated his own construction company prior to joining us, and it is this kind of personal and professional experience that has made him so well suited to the many management roles he fulfills.
John currently resides in Ortonville, Michigan where he enjoys spending time with family and riding his Harley.
Kevin Blind's Bio
As Sachse’s Vice President of Commercial Operations, Kevin Blind is responsible for the firm’s overall operations including achieving business objectives, meeting customer commitments, and delivering construction projects on time and within budget. Kevin has 23 years of construction experience and has been a team member since 2010. Some of Kevin’s notable projects include the renovation of the M@dison building, One Woodward, Meridian Health Plan’s Headquarters, Federal Mogul Corporation’s Headquarters, and the historic buildout of the Detroit Foundation Hotel.
Kevin currently resides in Orchard Lake, Michigan with his wife and daughter. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, and tries to get to the slopes whenever he can.
Tony Ciciretto's Bio
Tony Ciciretto, LEED AP, is a commercial project manager at Sachse Construction with over 20 years of industry experience and specific expertise in the healthcare, office, and government sectors. He is responsible for managing the construction phase and assisting with pre-construction efforts for projects. Tony establishes and maintains open lines of communication among all project team members, implements best practices including producing a quality product in a safe construction environment, and ensures the project is completed to meet and exceed client expectations. He manages cost, schedule, and identifies and mitigates project challenges in both the pre-construction and construction phases. With every project Tony leads, he brings a positive “can do” attitude that motivates the entire team.
Tony currently resides in White Lake with his wife and two sons. Originally from Toronto, his household is divided, supporting both the Detroit Red Wings and the Toronto Maple Leafs. In his spare time, he enjoys coaching his sons’ hockey teams and spending time with his family. Tony is also an avid traveler and enjoys taking family road trips to Florida!

Miha Pusta's Bio
Miha Pusta joined Sachse Construction in 2016 as the Director of First Impressions now serves as the head of retail business development. In this role, Miha is responsible for driving new business, developing long-term account strategies, and cultivating relationships with key industry stakeholders.
Miha is an active member of CREW Detroit, and currently sits on their annual golf outing committee. She also attends many networking events hosted by ICSC, SPECS, and Global Shop.
Miha enjoys spending time with her 14 siblings, practicing Bikram Yoga, and supporting the Detroit Lions. Miha resides in Detroit, Michigan, with her daughter, Jolene.
Samantha Russo 's Bio
Samantha Russo Ardelean joined Sachse Construction in Spring of 2018, working as a relationship builder in our commercial business development department. Her diverse experience working across multiple sectors throughout Southeast Michigan has afforded her extensive knowledge in commercial construction.
Samantha brings well-versed construction experience in business development, procurement, marketing, and the field. As a business development professional, Samantha cultivates relationships with potential and existing customers, develops strategic sales plans targeting specific customers or markets, identifies industry trends, and leads the team in all commercial pursuits.
Samantha has a bachelor’s degree in marketing and political science from Bradley University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Detroit Mercy. She currently resides in Royal Oak with her husband and two dogs, where she enjoys the outdoors and is an ardent Green Bay Packers fan.

Chuck Hundley's Bio
Chuck Hundley currently acts as Client Services and has over 45 years of experience in the construction industry as a Project Manager and Superintendent. His extensive experience with the retail, airport, and restaurants sectors has made him a versatile and valuable member of the Sachse Construction team. Prior to joining the team, Chuck also served as President of the Carpenter’s Union and headed their apprenticeship program. In his current role, Chuck has successfully overseen many challenging, high-profile projects. It is his logistical approach and commitment to the bottom-line, combined with his keen instincts for developing strategic alliances with clients, business partners, trade partners, regulatory agencies and on-site construction personnel that have proven critical to his success.
Chuck Hundley resides in Brighton, Michigan with his wife Mary, and enjoys spending time with his daughter and two grandchildren. As his daughter explained to his grandson, “Grandpa works so many hours because he doesn’t believe in failure.”
Jill Brack's Bio
Collaborating across Sachse Construction and Broder & Sachse Real Estate, Jill Brack directs a creative and robust annual program schedule that includes social impact initiatives, community and team engagement, and mission-driven strategic partnerships.
Jill spearheads the Sachse Construction Academy, an annual event that provides a platform for over 2,000 Detroit high-school students to learn hands on about post-secondary skilled trades job opportunities. The program won the 2018 Michigan Governor’s Service Award in the Corporate Community Leader category and was also named a finalist for Best Economic Empowerment Program at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s 2019 Citizens Awards.
She also produces the New York-based Sachse Retail Summit, an annual thought leadership event featuring architects, brand executives, founders, and CEOs leading a new era of luxury omnichannel retail and redefining the next generation of customer experience and engagement.
As Founding-Editor-in-Chief of EXP|DET, a Broder & Sachse Real Estate Lifestyle Magazine and Podcast, Jill Brack leads an editorial team curating a robust content calendar featuring people and places that are shaping Detroit.
For a decade, Jill produced and marketed blockbuster feature films for director Tim Burton working with A-list actors such as Johnny Depp, Val Kilmer, and Nicole Kidman. While at Warner Bros., she was responsible for the highly successful marketing and consumer products licensing campaigns behind the Batman movie franchise. In Boston, she pioneered the business of high-end “house-flipping” before it became a popular TV genre and, in 2010, founded a gluten-free food brand sold in over 400 natural, gourmet, and specialty markets nationwide, including Whole Foods.
