Matt Rabren's Bio
Matt Rabren serves as the President & CEO of Rabren General Contractors (RGC). Matt has used his vision to grow the organization from a small general contractor to one of the largest and best companies to work for in Alabama. Alongside his 30+ years of industry experience, Matt graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Civil Engineering before beginning his career at Brasfield & Gorrie (B&G). After B&G, Matt served as a Project Manager and Senior Project Manager for 9 years at RA-LIN and Associates, Inc. in Carrollton, GA before joining his brother Travis and cousin Mike to build RGC in 2003. In addition, Matt serves on the Travis L. Rabren Foundation (www.travislrabrenfoundation.org) Board of Directors, ABC Alabama Board, and Treasurer of AGC Alabama. Matt is married to Laura, with three children, Jacob, Colson and Sarah, and one granddaughter, Andi.
Stephen Green's Bio
Stephen Green, Executive Vice President at Rabren General Contractors, has 25+ years of industry experience and leads the organization through strategic planning and his Best Practices initiative. In his role, Stephen also provides leadership and support to all of RGC’s Operations by aligning resources and projects in accordance with project management, budget and financial objectives. In addition, Stephen also serves on the Board of Directors of the Construction Education Foundation of Alabama (CEFA), a training organization dedicated solely to construction trade training and workforce development. Stephen graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Building Science and is married to Leigh, with two children, Davis and Caroline.

Mike Scarborough's Bio
A graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Building Science, Mike Scarborough brings his 25+ years of industry experience to his role as the Vice President, Preconstruction for Rabren General Contractors. In his role, Mike leads the negotiated preconstruction team out of the Birmingham office to bring value to clients including budgeting at all phases of design, value engineering, schedule development and more. In addition, Mike is actively leading RGC’s business development efforts and prepares conceptual estimates, general conditions, and negotiated proposals. He currently serves on the Alabama AGC Board of Directors. Mike is LEED AP and ASHE Certified with extensive ADPH, ACHA, and TDH experience. Before beginning a new chapter at RGC in March of 2018, Mike spent 10 years as Director of Preconstruction Services – Healthcare at Hoar Construction. Mike is married to Julie, with two children, Sam and Will, and live in Trussville, AL.
Ray Harrelson's Bio
A veteran to the construction industry, Ray Harrelson serves as the Vice President, Preconstruction for Rabren General Contractors. With 30+ years in the industry and with a degree in Building Science and a minor in Business and Computer Science from Auburn University, Ray focuses his efforts on the Hard Bid market. Starting his career at RGC in 2006, the experiences Ray has gained in Project Management and Preconstruction has given him the tools to deliver the best pricing and Preconstruction services to our clients. Within his role as VP, Ray focuses on providing leadership to his staff to align resources by preparing clear, complete and competitive conceptual estimates, general conditions, and hard bids. Ray is married to his wife Nancy, and they have two children, Beth and Will.

Drew Brown's Bio
As Vice President, Field Operations, Drew Brown brings his 25+ years of industry experience to the RGC Field Operations staff to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with RGC’s Best Practices and aligns resources in accordance with safety, budget, quality and schedule obligations and objectives. In addition, Drew also leads RGC’s Project Scheduling department and RGC’s Career Program. After graduating from Auburn University with a degree in Building Science, Drew began his career as a Field Engineer before moving into roles such as Superintendent and Project Manager. In 2009, Drew began a new chapter at RGC, and his combination of both field and office experience have enhanced his ability to solve complex problems and inspiring those working with him to do the same. Drew is married to Sarah, with three children, Morgan, Griffin and Alana.
Jon Rabren's Bio
At RGC since its inception in 2000, and with 20+ years of industry experience, all at Rabren General Contractors, Jon Rabren serves as the Vice President, Operations. Jon is responsible for executive leadership, development and success of multiple RGC field operations and project management teams, the Shop & Equipment division, manpower support, and RGC’s Career Program. An Auburn University graduate with a degree in Building Science, Jon has worked in a variety of roles ranging from Superintendent to Project Manager in his career at RGC. Alongside his fellow Vice Presidents, Jon also leads RGC field operations teams on projects through implementation of RGC Best Practices and Success Factors. Jon and his wife Torie, have three children, Tyler, Olivia, and Cade, and live in Auburn, AL.
Matt Hearn's Bio
Matt Hearn serves as the Vice President, Operations at Rabren General Contractors. In this role, Matt leads several RGC project management teams by aligning resources and projects in accordance with project management, budget and financial objectives. In addition, Matt works with the leadership and project management teams on the development and implementation of RGC’s Best Practices. Matt graduated from Auburn University where he received a degree in Building Science. After graduation, Matt began his professional career at M.J. Harris as a Field Engineer and then worked his way up to the Project Manager position, gaining extensive expertise on complex healthcare construction projects. Since joining the RGC team in July of 2017, Matt has played a large role in the development of RGC’s Healthcare division and The Academy – Training/Development program. In the Summer of 2019, Matt and his team completed the award-winning Jay & Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center at Auburn University. Matt is married to Kelsey, with two daughters Everleigh and Addison.
Pat Donohoe's Bio
Pat Donohoe, Vice President, Field Operations has over a decade of industry experience and a degree in Building Science from Auburn University. A 2021 induction into the AGC Alabama Top 40 Under 40, Pat is responsible for the executive leadership and development of RGC’s Field Operations staff on multiple projects where he leads the teams in accordance with safety, budget, quality, and schedule. Alongside these responsibilities, Pat also leads RGC’s QA/QC program. Before starting his career at RGC in September of 2015, Pat worked at BL Harbert International as a QC Manager and then Superintendent. Traveling the globe with his work, Pat worked in Dubai, Liberia, Finland, and Morocco just to name a few. To highlight one of his projects completed at RGC, he completed the one-of-a-kind LEED Platinum, FORTIFIED and SITES certified The Lodge at Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, AL, the first project achieving all three certifications in the nation. Pat is married to his wife Tomi, and they share three children, Charlee Kate, Evie, and Barrett.

Mitchell Weyandt's Bio
Mitchell Weyandt serves as the Vice President, Business Development at Rabren General Contractors. Mitchell graduated with a Business Administration and Finance degree from Auburn University. In addition to his bachelor’s degree, Mitchell received his MBA from The University of North Alabama in 2013 and spent time at Harvard University in the professional development program related to Strategic Negotiations in 2015. After graduation, Mitchell began his professional career as a Project Engineer at Hoar Construction before moving his way up to the ranks to become a Senior Project Manager 13 years later. In his VP role at RGC, Mitchell is responsible for executive leadership, development and success of new business opportunities and helping guide the company growth strategy. Mitchell and his wife Alyssa live in Vestavia Hills, AL with their two children, Mary Beth and Charlie.

Jay Thomason's Bio
Jay Thomason serves as the Vice President, Finance at Rabren General Contractors. Throughout Jay’s 30+ years’ experience in banking and corporate finance, Jay’s experience and knowledge has allowed him to lead RGC’s Finance/Accounting team with ideas that come from a variety of industries; bringing the best lessons learned to RGC. In his role, Jay leads the development and implementation of Finance/Accounting Best Practices, directs the fiscal functions of the company, and builds productive internal and external relationships. An Auburn University graduate with a degree in Finance, Jay also assist with the implementation of new technologies that are used company wide. Jay and his wife Sarah, have three children, Conner, Carol Ann and Jay Andrew, and live in Auburn, AL.
