Scope Of Work
Sanitary sewer system rehabilitation utilizing mainly trenchless methods, predominantly in the Paint Branch Basin in Prince George’s and Montgomery County, MD, on an as-needed basis. WSSC anticipates rehabilitating approximately 29% of its sanitary sewer mainline, laterals and manhole systems by utilizing trenchless technologies such as structural lining and grouting. The remaining 71% of the work is anticipated to involve pipe bursting, pen cut sewer pipe and sewer manhole replacement projects and stream restoration activities that will require ground disturbance (including the construction of temporary access roads). Work under this contract will occur mainly within environmentally sensitive areas of the Paint Branch Basin. However, work located in other basins may be assigned on an as-needed basis.
