Scope Of Work
Sanitary sewer system rehabilitation utilizing mainly trenchless methods, predominantly in the Northwest Branch Basin in Prince George’s and Montgomery County, MD, on an as-needed basis. WSSC anticipates rehabilitating approximately 28.7 percent, based on contract value, of its sanitary sewer mainline, laterals and manhole systems utilizing trenchless technologies such as structural lining and grouting. It is estimated that an additional 3.3 percent of the repair work will require open cut methods. The remaining 68 percent, based on contract value, of the work will be associated with stream restoration activities and construction of temporary access roads in environmentally sensitive areas. Work under this contract will occur mainly within environmentally sensitive areas of the Northwest Branch Basin. However, work located in other basins may be assigned on an as-needed basis.
