Scope Of Work
Sanitary sewer system rehabilitation utilizing mainly trenchless methods, predominantly in the Horsepen and Patuxent Center Basins in Prince George’s County, MD, on an as-needed basis. WSSC anticipates rehabilitating approximately 36.6 percent, based on contract value, of its sanitary sewer mainline, laterals and manhole systems utilizing trenchless technologies such as structural lining and grouting. It is estimated that an additional 0.4 percent, based on contract value, of the repair work will require open cut methods. 41.8 percent, based on contract value, of the work will be associated with stream restoration activities and construction of temporary access roads in environmentally sensitive areas. Work under this contract will occur mainly within environmentally sensitive areas of the Horsepen and Patuxent Center Basins. However, work located in other basins may be assigned on an as-needed basis.
