Roy was introduced to commercial interior work through a finishing carpenter. Working with a Calgary based commercial construction firm at the age of 20, he quickly worked his way up from carpenter to superintendent. At the age of 23 (after only 3 years with the company), Roy was running multiple projects thanks to his ability to make things happen. In his fifth year, he became a project manager/estimator in the firm he remained with them for over 18 years, learning the ins and outs of the business until 2003 when he decided to embark on the challenge of operating his own commercial contracting firm.
