Scope Of Work
Tooele County is one of the fastest-growing counties in Utah. The project has significantly improved mobility and provides a smoother, safer continuous auxiliary lane for the 40,000-plus motorists who drive on it daily. The enhancements improve the traffic flow by adding a new exit-only lane on bound I-80 and an auxiliary lane from the off-ramp of State Road 201 to the on-ramp of State Road 36. The new auxiliary lane connects the off ramp at SR-201 and the on ramp to SR-36 in one continuous lane, allowing for a safer, more efficient commute through this area.
The project team met a 2020 opening goal and completed the project six months ahead of schedule with zero rework, all during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a testament to the project team’s dedication to safety, quality and thorough activity planning.
