As Vice President, John offers over 26 years of construction industry experience. John is directly responsible for business development, estimating and day to day construction operations. He excels in preconstruction planning, design build delivery methods and program management.
The first half of Johns career was spent travelling the Northeast and building mission critical, biotech and semiconductor facilities. Notable include SUNY School of Nanotechnology, IBM 323, Purdue Pharma, Lonza Biologics F1P3, and Genuity POP Program (28 sites from Washington DC to Chicago). Since coming home Johns focus has been in the hospitality and restaurant industry. He has completed numerous renovations and restaurants in majority of the top local hotels including Boston Marriott Copley, Sheraton Boston, Westin Boston Waterfront, Cambridge Sonesta Hotel, Boston Renaissance Hotel, and the Renaissance Westchester Hotel. He has also built and renovated numerous (20+) Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks locations, most recently the Dunkin Donuts at the Prudential Center.
John holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Merrimack College.
John Foster, the founder and president of Apex New England Construction, has more than 36 years’ experience in construction and contract management. At Apex, John is responsible for the project management and construction of large scale retail development, renovations, commercial and industrial projects throughout the Northeastern United States. John has an extensive background and knowledge in budgeting, value engineering, LEED AP, retail, scheduling, negotiating and awarding contracts.
John holds a degree in civil construction technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology.
John has worked on many different project types, from heavy civil to commercial building. A few of his projects are: 13 new Lowes Home Improvement Stores,
400-Million-dollar design build highway expansion, MWRA combined Sewer overflow projects, Multiple Massachusetts infrastructure projects, Stop & Shop Somerville, and the Sheraton in Newton, MA.
Andy is the senior project manager at Apex New England Construction. With more than 36 years’ experience, he is responsible for complete project management and construction from concept, into buy out and thru construction to final closeout.
Andy’s specialties include preconstruction planning, renovations, work in occupied buildings, and understanding clients’ needs and delivering client satisfaction. He is skilled in maintaining a positive team work approach between all project members including owners, designers, engineers, public authorities and subcontractors which results in a completed project that all
are proud of.
Significant projects previously completed by Andy include: 234 Berkley Restoration Hardware, Nantucket Airport Expansion & Renovation, KPMG Offices in Boston & Hartford, 99High Street Parking garage replacement, Terminal Renovations at BWI and Logan airports.
Andy holds a bachelors of science in business administration from Babson College.
Matt is the project manager for all facilities related projects for Apex New England Construction’s largest clients. He is responsible for estimating, scheduling, handling project coordination and quality control for over 750 facilities projects annually for Apex’s largest facility maintenance clients. Matt’s specialties include client management and service, facility work order administration, customer budgeting for long term personal service and accountability, and cost control.
Matt holds a BBA in accounting from Siena College in Albany, NY. He also holds a master’s degree in taxation from Bentley University, and a certificate in construction from Wentworth Institute of Technology.
