Steve started working for S.S.Fisher Welding at an early age during
summers and weekends. By the time he reached the age 14, he was
masterfully running all the fabrication equipment within the plant.
Once he finished his High School studies, he moved into the Steel
Erection department quickly learning how to erect Structural Steel,
Miscellaneous Metals, Precast Floor, Wall Panels and Millwright work.
During these years in the field, he not only developed his skills as a
connector but also developed his skills running all the various pieces
of equipment used in the erection process. At the age of 22 he moved
into the office learning estimating, sales and project management. In
the 1980’s at the age of 24, Steve Sr. and Steve Jr. Set goals to grow
the business and after changing the company’s name to S.S.Fisher Steel
Corp., the next 7 years seen the firm grow from 20 employees to 160.
It was also during this period Steve helped design and build a new
state of the art fabrication facility. It was during this period all
his siblings and him purchased their fathers existing facility and
Steel Fab Enterprises, LLC was born. Steve continued work for
S.S.Fisher Steel Corp until it was sold by Steve Fisher, Sr. After the
sale of S.S.Fisher Steel Corp., Steve transferred into the
Presidential role of Steel Fab Enterprises, LLC, replacing his sister
Patti. Over the next 25 years, Steel Fab Enterprises, LLC has grown
from 15 employees to 95 today doing work up and down the Mid-Atlantic
coast. Specifically in heavy structural fabrication, miscellaneous
metals and ornamental metals in their combined 82,000 sq. ft. facilities.
