P.J. Hoerr, Inc.

From 1984 – 1993, Mr. Anderson worked as a project manager for Tarlton Corporation in St. Louis and Becker Brothers in Peoria. As a project manager, Mr. Anderson was responsible for day to day management of office buildings, industrial and institutional projects.

In 1993, Mr. Anderson joined P.J. Hoerr and has served as a project manager, estimator, division manager and from 2006 to 2019 as Vice President of the Pre-engineered Division. In 2021 Kirk was named President of P.J. Hoerr.

Projects Kirk has been involved in include industrial, churches, schools, life safety and office/warehouses.

From 1980 to 1996, Mr. Bright served as a design civil/structural engineer for Hanson Engineers, Inc. During this period, Mr. Bright worked in the Springfield, Illinois, Midland, Michigan and Peoria, Illinois offices. As a design professional, Mr. Bright served as a project engineer, and a project manager for numerous structural, civil, transportation and quality control projects.

Since joining P.J. Hoerr in 1996, Mr. Bright has acted as a project manager, corporate engineer and from 2006-2019 as Vice President of the Design/Build division. In 2021 Paul was named CEO of P.J. Hoerr. Projects he has been responsible for include complicated medical office buildings, churches, nursing homes, multi-faceted community centers, schools, and hospitals.

P.J. Hoerr is excited to announce that Greg Bachler has joined our team as our new Director of Estimating. Greg brings 29 years of construction estimating experience along with a great reputation for professionalism and honesty. Greg is tasked to lead our estimating team, improve, and modernize its procedures and strengthen the overall quality of our pre-construction services. P.J. Hoerr is thrilled to have Greg join our team and is excited about the expanded capabilities we will be able to provide. Greg will be located in our Peoria, IL office.

Colin Logue joined the P.J. Hoerr team in 2015 as a Senior Project Manager.  Since that time Colin has served as Project Executive and in 2020 was promoted to Vice President. Colin has successfully managed projects across central Illinois ranging from large new construction to smaller renovation projects.  His responsibilities have included developing and monitoring schedules, subcontractor coordination, material purchasing, owner and subcontractor contracts, cost estimating, budgeting, and working with clients to provide a successful project. Colin has 33 years of experience in the construction industry. 

P.J. Hoerr is very excited to announce that, effective immediately, Nick Hart will become P.J. Hoerr’s new Vice-President of Operations. Nick has done a great job as our Director of Operations for many years, but was mainly involved with just our shop and directing our labor. Nick will now have responsibility for all of P.J. Hoerr’s field operations. His job will entail working with our project managers and especially our superintendents to make P.J. Hoerr safer, more efficient, more profitable, maintain excellent quality and generally serve our clients better. In addition, Nick will still be in charge of all the company’s tools and equipment and will still direct labor. We can’t wait to see how Nick makes P.J. Hoerr better for both our clients and our employees.

P.J. Hoerr is pleased to announce that John Sutherland has joined the P.J. Hoerr team. John is our new Vice President of Strategic Development and will be based in our Peoria office. John brings 27 years of construction experience and a shining reputation for treating customers and staff with enthusiasm and honesty. John will help P.J. Hoerr continually improve our overall operations and explore new markets and locations. We are excited about this opportunity and cannot wait to see what John will build with us.

Scott has been an employee of P.J. Hoerr since 1996.  While pursuing his degree at Bradley University he served as an assistant project manager and estimator.  Upon graduation in 1998, Scott was promoted to Project Manager.  Since that time, he has been promoted to Senior Project Manager, Project Executive, and Director of Healthcare.  In 2017, Scott was named a Vice-President.

Scott has led many different types of construction projects from conception to completion.  This diverse line of projects includes medical office buildings, churches, hospitals, schools, office spaces, nursing homes, manufacturing facilities, and not-for-profit agencies.  In addition to leading at work, Scott has served as a board member for multiple local organizations.  His progressive thinking and energetic spirit have helped to positively impact PJ Hoerr and the local construction industry.
