A Seattle native, Ed is a founder and manager of HB Management, with a deft ability to identify opportunities to create value for owners and partners. Ed is also an owner and executive of several other companies, including the Paragon Real Estate Advisors (an apartment brokerage firm), Indigo Real Estate Services (a property management firm), Coast Communications Company, and Treen Corporation. HB manages Roosevelt Development Group and several other large-scale apartment/retail development and redevelopment projects in urban Seattle locations and has completed several large mixed-use projects in Belltown including 206 Bell and Verve.
Ed earned degrees in Economics and American History from Connecticut College in 1989 and graduated Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management program in 2004. He is also a former honoree for the Puget Sound Business Journal’s annual “40 Under 40 Awards Program” in recognition of his outstanding business performance.
Ed served as a director of the Childhaven centers for abused and neglected children, and is involved in the community as an avid track and soccer coach. Through a club called Seattle Speed, he has coached many nationally and internationally ranked sprinters, jumpers and hurdlers, and for the past 15 years has coached youth soccer in the local leagues. Ed is a lifetime citizen of West Seattle, where he resides with his wife of 20 years and their three children.
