Our Story
LMC Corporation was founded in 1989 to provide construction and maintenance services to public sector clients. In 1994 LMC became a participant in the U.S. Small Business Administrations 8(a) Business Development Program and began providing services to the National Aerospace and Space Administration. During this time LMC constructed, amongst other projects, the Center for Human Space Flight Performance and Research, now known as the Columbia Center, at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.
The project received an exemplary performance rating for its innovation in recycled content usage, potable water reduction, use of Tradable Renewable Certificates and open space accommodation thus earning a LEEDs Gold award, the national benchmark for design, construction, and operations of high-performance green buildings.
