Ben Lavarias's Bio
Ben Lavarias, the principle partner of Turnkey Construction and Maintenance, Inc. has been in the construction industry for more than 18 years. Being a resident of Jacksonville since 1973, Ben has become a native to this community and to the construction industry as well. Attending FCCJ then UNF for Building Construction, he has seen the growth and development first hand of this exciting community. After college he worked with a commercial contracting company for several years so that he could qualify to sit for the State Licensing Contractors exam. After passing the exam his background shifted to residential construction with several local and national builders in our area. While developing his expertise in this industry, Ben had always seen himself as his own contractor. Getting beyond the corporate standards and becoming the true custom contractor, working with his clients one on one.
The need for contractors to stay compliant with Florida state standards, Ben found it necessary to not only meet those needs, but to go beyond them. He obtained his Roofing Contractors license in 2009 and met qualifications for, Energy rater, Lead renovator, Weatherization contractingand JEA Investsmart Contractor. Ben also is a member of Saint Johns County Housing Finance Authority for the last two years. It is this participation with the community and the construction field that keeps him at the forefront of state and local information and guidelines.
