I really enjoy working within a team environment where everyone helps and supports each other. My department has depth and diversity so that everyone is using their talents for the responsibilities at which they excel. A.R. Mays has a great culture that provides a fun working atmosphere. My co-workers are like family to me.

I like the complexity of construction. I’ve always enjoyed problem-solving and this industry inevitably produces an opportunity to creatively tackle and solve challenges. There is nothing more rewarding than when a group of diverse people can collaborate together to create a solution that works.

At A.R. Mays, people work together as a team and really care about one another and the success of the company. I enjoy my co-workers’ drive for continuous improvement and the teamwork it takes to reach the goals of each project we work on.

I have been fascinated with construction since I was a kid. As a Phoenix native, I’ve had the opportunity to see the city grow over the years. Now in my career, it’s exciting to be part of the construction process with A.R. Mays. I enjoy seeing the quality of work we do here in the valley and all that we are carry out to other states.

My interest in construction started as a teenager helping family and friends with countless projects. At A.R. Mays Construction, I’m able to work with a team of dedicated professionals who reflect our core values – integrity, responsibility and contribution. Our team is dedicated to always exceeding the expectations of our valued clients.

I enjoy the involvement I have in each project by getting my co-workers what they need to get their job done. From the time the bid invites go out until the job is completed and closed, I get to be a part of the excitement and satisfaction of a project well done.

I can’t imagine working anywhere else. A.R. Mays has given me opportunities in my career that I don’t think other companies would have provided. I feel that my contributions have shaped what the company is today. I feel a great sense of pride working for A.R. Mays.

A.R. Mays is great because we can complete big work, but we aren’t a big company. Even though we have grown considerably, I know everyone’s name. You aren’t a number here. Your experiences will be diverse and your contributions make a difference.

In my lifetime, I have built nearly everything I have ever wanted to build. Now, it’s about giving back to the industry and to the future builders of this company. It’s about watching the people grow and develop their careers. This is what I define as success.

My favorite part of my job is the people. I love seeing a new client become a repeat client. It’s not just what you do but the value you bring that creates a lasting impact. It takes dedicated, reliable, skilled, and passionate team members to make that happen and I am proud to be a part of that team.

The ownership team really cares about their employees and it makes for a great environment in which to work. Also, every job is a little different, even in accounting, which keeps things interesting, even after 30 years in the industry. I plan on working here until I retire!
