Registered Architect [AIA, CSBA]
For more than 23 years in Arizona, Tom Norris has been involved in designing and building the simple and the complex. Flat lots, steep hillsides, good soil, hard rock, frame homes and complex ultramodern block and steel structures, are all in his resume. Tom is a diverse designer and builder who will take your project from your dreams, to detailed drawings through the building process, and on to the exciting reality of move in day.
The life of a youngster who grew up on a Missouri farm allowed Tom to learn to see the simple in the complex. Tom’s university studies under the creative tutelage of Dr Robert Nagle, Lee Hageman and Russ Schmaljohn help him convert his ideas into the physical. Tom’s first employment following his graduate studies was designing jewelry in Omaha. This experience and training has allowed him to find solutions to designing and building challenges where others are stymied.
Starting in 1997 Tom focused his energy into creating his own design and building company that specialized in construction of custom homes. The newly formed Scottsdale “Green Building” program in 1998 became the foundation for Tom’s commitment to environmentally conscious design and building. From that time forward Tom has built his reputation on providing forward thinking design and implementation for his clients.
