Scapes Builders is a family-owned, second-generation building & excavation company located in South Deerfield, MA.

The company was officially founded in 1990 by Douglas Blowers who has spent his entire life in the building trades. Co-owner John Blowers and Senior Project Manager Al Blowers help to oversee the company’s diverse skill set and twenty employees. Scapes provides both commercial and residential building services, and self-performs carpentry, excavation and ecological restoration projects.

Scapes Builders has a long history and enduring culture of ensuring that all projects meet and exceed the owner’s needs and expectations. Our company’s commitment to high quality work and thoughtful job-site culture coupled with managing accurate schedules and transparent budgets has built a very successful resume of projects in Western Massachusetts. These projects include achieving the highest standards of sustainable building, which include a Certified Living Building (LBC) and LEED Gold certified projects.
