Sanders Construction Consultants (SCC) specializes in providing subcontractors, general contractors, construction managers and developers with quantity take-offs, cost estimates and lump sum bidding assistants. We also provide pre-construction services, third party plans/specifications review and change order evaluations.

Construction Cost Estimating Services:

SCC specializes in construction cost estimating, we provide our clients with detailed quantity take-offs and pricing from the construction project’s conceptual stage through to project close-out.  We maintain databases of historical and current local, national and international construction cost.   We will also verify proposed construction cost, with the local market, at various stages though-out the estimating process.

Lump Sum Bidding: (Private, State, Federal, Military, Educational, Transit, Utilities)

SCC provides our services as an extension of your staff to handle the entire bidding process. Our service includes the following:

• Attend pre-bid meetings.
• Work alongside ownership to develop the bidding strategy.
• Develop bidder/supplier list along with your team.
• Perform front end document review for insurance, bonding and other requirements.
• Send out ITB (Invitations To Bid).
• Prepare Bid/Trade Packages – Including scope of work documents for each package.
• Prepare detailed scope/leveling sheets per Bid/Trade Package.
• Handle RFI (Request For Information) and Addendum process.
• Review and de-scope all incoming bids.
• Prepare Bid Summary.
• Prepare General Conditions Study with your operations team.
• Tie your bid preparation costs and markups to required bid forms.
• Assist you and your team with submitting the bid per front end requirements.

Procurement/Buyout:

SCC provides our services to procure sub-contractor trades and suppliers for your project. Our services include the following:

• Pre-qualify sub-contractors to confirm they meet your company’s requirements.
• Establish Bidding procedures with your team similar to Lump Sum Bidding above.
• Sub-contractor negotiations and award based upon your approval.
• Contract preparation and administration.

Change-Order Review & Analysis:

We are the third party reviewer every project is looking for.  SCC analyzes proposed change orders for owners, developers, contractors and subcontractors. Whether a client needs a proposed change order priced or validated, we can assist throughout the project’s duration.  Once the scope is validated the pricing of the change goes much faster with all parties in agreement.  We will assist in getting your change order log down to zero.

Quantity Take-Off Services: (civil, structural, architectural, mechanical)

SCC provides our take-off services to general contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers. We will provide a complete list of materials with quantities along with our measured colored drawing take-off. We are focused on accuracy to give you confidence when bidding or pricing a project.  Plus if you need it in 24 hours we’ll make it happen.

3rd Party Plan Review:

SCC provides Quality Control and Constructibility Review of construction drawings and specifications.  We provide you with a red-lined set of documents, along with a report of our findings.
