After serving in the military, Jason attended Northern Illinois University where he received his degree in Organizational Management and is completing his Masters Degree. Jason has worked in multiple facets of commercial, industrial, residential and retail projects, both local and nationwide. He has unique skills working closely with the client to solve problems and keep his projects on track. His reputation is that of a “firm but fair” manager with subcontractors, demanding exacting standards, tight budgets and critical path performance.

Starting his career with HDG as an estimator, he now holds the position of President for all national retail and commercial accounts.

Jason believes in frank, personal contact with clients, ensuring that schedules are maintained and issues are quickly resolved.

Earl brings 20 plus years of diverse project management experience to our team. From grocery store to museum exhibits to store fixture development to retail build outs and renovations. Earl’s experience as a reliable and knowledgeable Superintendent/Project Manager. His responsibilities include project acquisition, day to day construction, budgets, bidding, estimating, and quality control.

Jeff started out in the commercial industry in 1997, right out of high school, and began his career as a carpenters apprentice. He worked his way up to site superintendent/lead carpenter by the age of 22. After 10+ years in the field, he owned and operated his own commercial carpentry company for more than five yrs before deciding to join the HDG team. As project manager, he is able to use both his firsthand experience in the field as well as his experience being a business owner to manage all phases of the construction process.

In 2006, Marta graduated with high distinctions from the University of Illinois at Chicago with degree in Architectural Studies. She then joined Wold Architects and Engineers where she became highly versed in many facets of the world of architecture during her tenure, notably focusing on the municipal and educational sectors. Marta is very passionate about green and sustainable design and in April 2009, she became LEED accredited by United States Green Building Council (USGBC). In January of 2010, Marta joined Hanna Design Group where she takes a hands-on approach, assuring the best quality in design for each project.

Mike Richardson has been on the Hanna Design Group team for over 16 years. His architectural background goes back to his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Advanced Technical Studies, with an emphasis in Architectural and Structural design. Mike approaches each project with a direct, hands-on approach, with an attentiveness given to the unique needs and requests of each client. This not only helps this department, but helps Hanna Design Group as a whole to achieve its highest standards of quality.

Rick Zavala has 25 years of construction experience dealing with all aspects of commercial and residential construction. He graduated in 1989 from St. Xavier University with a B.A. in business administration. From 1991 to 2001, Rick owned his own business which was a land development, commercial, retail projects and industrial construction company. From 2001 – 2006, Rick worked as a senior site superintendent for HDG traveling across the US completing projects from 1,000 sq.ft. to 30,000 sq.ft. and was considered one of the top people in his field.

From 2007 – 2013 Rick took a position with one of our clients as the director of construction where his job responsibilities were site location, lease negotiations, contract administration, as well as the day to day management of all construction projects throughout the US. Having rejoined HDG in 2014 as a project manager, Rick has been instrumental in opening up a western US office for HDG to keep up with the demanding needs of our customers. His responsibilities include project acquisition, day to day construction, budgets and estimating, and sales and marketing.

Robert Perry has 25 years of construction experience dealing with all aspects of commercial and residential construction. From 1992 to 2005, Robert was Superintendent for a large General Contractor building restaurants across the country. From 2005 – 2012, Robert worked as a Working Superintendent for another leading GC in our industry traveling nationally managing projects in the retail and restaurant industry.

From 2012 – Current Robert joined Hanna Design Group as Site Superintendent traveling coast to coast. In 2014 Robert moved into the office as a full time Project Manager. His responsibilities include project acquisition, day to day construction, budgets, bidding, estimating, and quality control.

Terri, a CPA with an accounting degree from Southern IL University, joined the HDG team in 2013. She has worked in accounting on the commercial side of construction for over 13 years and brings a skill set that includes tax knowledge & customer service skills. Terri and her team pride themselves on coordinating the flow of information from the field so that closeouts can be expedited and sent to the customer as quickly as possible.

As Director of Business Development, Jeff is involved in strategic marketing, identifying and evaluating new markets and partnership opportunities, setting objectives and creating a strategy to reach our goals. Along with Jeff’s entrepreneurial background, he adds a wealth of strong business and project management skills to the HDG team. Before becoming part of the HDG family, Jeff owned a collaborative local business and now HDG benefits from his creativity and ingenuity in developing successful strategies. He has an extraordinary ability to network and build strong relationships within the building industry.

Janet Iglehart has over 30 years of construction experience as an Executive Assistant to the Presidents of 3 major construction companies. She has a wealth of knowledge regarding construction procedures as well as office administration. Hanna Design Group hired Janet in 1999 as the Executive Assistant to the President. Her current responsibilities include a wide variety of tasks that fall under the titles of office administrator, human resources and payroll management.
