Kevin Crawford is Group President of the MasTec portfolio of
transmission & substation companies. In this role, Kevin is
responsible for the overall operations and performance of MasTec’s
transmission and substation businesses throughout North America.
Kevin joined MasTec in February 2017, bringing with him more than 27
years of experience and success in the electric distribution,
transmission and power generation industries. His most recent role was
as President of Transmission Partners for Kiewit Corporation. In this
role, Kevin was responsible for all aspects of Kiewit’s transmission
and substation construction business.
Prior to Kiewit, Kevin served as Executive Officer for Indianapolis
Power & Light Company. In this role, Kevin was responsible for all
generation assets, including more than 3,500 MW of coal, natural gas,
solar, wind, oil, and diesel generating units including fuel
procurement, asset management, outage/project management, engineering,
and labor relations. Kevin also served as the IPL executive witness
before the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission on several key
filings that currently drive the near-term growth of the utility
company and its parent AES.
Kevin began his career with the Dayton Power & Light Company in
1988, where he served in progressive roles within the DP&L
transmission, distribution and generation businesses. Roles included
Distribution Engineer, T&D Operations Supervisor, T&D
Operations Manager, Station Manager, Director Supply Chain, Vice
President Generation Construction, Vice President, and Executive
Officer Generation. In February 2012, Kevin left DP&L to join the
IPL Company.
Construction experience includes transmission and distribution of
overhead and underground electric lines, gas distribution, and
approximately $1.4B in power generation projects. Kevin is a graduate
of Xavier University with an Executive MBA and a BS in Electrical
Systems Engineering from Wright State University.
Kevin has served on multiple boards of directors including Gleaners
Food Bank of Indiana.
