Scope Of Work
Tyson’s Macon, GA distribution center serves retail and foodservice customers in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Alabama. Tyson chose to expand the facility so that it could ship all of its products from one distribution center. In addition to increasing efficiency, the project also improves team member safety and reduces their carbon footprint.
Tyson selected Primus to provide turn-key design and construction services for the 184,000 SF facility addition. Features include expanded cold storage facility spaces, break room, driver room, material handling, dock and freezer expansions with a fully automated ASRS sorting and retrieval system. Primus’s in-house automation team is providing intralogistic design.
