Scope Of Work
Primus provided turn-key site master planning, design and construction services for a new high volume E-beam sterilizer system for Becton Dickinson at its largest medical device facility in New Canaan, Connecticut. Primus prepared a site master plan study that evaluated existing manufacturing flow and developed conceptual space adjacency diagrams for existing and potential future operations to determine a logical plan for site growth. Several optional schemes were considered and the final site master plan identified the preferred location for the new E-beam and associated material handling lines. It also provided a site “road map” for future relocation of shipping operations and phased growth of future manufacturing to offer greater utilization of the entire
property.

New packaging lines & new conveyance system that transports and wrapsboxes in shrink wrapped trays as they move to the sterilizer vault
New palletizing and stretch wrapping operations
New packaging room and concrete shielding vault with associated utility service and operations control rooms
