Scope Of Work
The new Leavelle McCampbell Middle School was a 125,000 sq. ft. CMR project replacing the existing school, which was built in 1922. This project was phased into an Early Sitework Package and a Building Package to allow for an earlier start date. The core facilities include a cafetorium, media center, administration area, 6th, 7th and 8th grade classroom areas, exploratory classrooms, and a gymnasium. Additionally, the building was been designed to accommodate future additions to the classroom areas. These areas were completely built out during construction as an addition to the contract. Aesthetically, the building is designed to look like a traditional, early 20th-century school building and to be similar to the original school. It also has some contemporary design elements and incorporates the latest technology, enhancing the 21st century learning environment.
