Scope Of Work
The work generally consisted of the construction of a tunneled and trenched pipeline in Scripps Ranch, California. The pipeline conveys untreated water along the Second San Diego Aqueduct from a connection with Pipelines 3 and 4 and all other appurtenant work. Constructed 1,600 lf of permanent access road and paving 230 lf of existing access road for future O&M activities, consisted of 594 feet of tunneling and 281 feet of trenching and tunneling. Installed 876 feet of 98-inch and 69-inch welded steel pipe within the three tunnel and portal reaches and connected to the existing 69-inch welded steel liner inside the existing 72-inch PCCP. Installed 16” and 10” air release and air vacuum valves and appurtenant work.
