Austin is the thriving Capital city of Texas. It was, however, just a small college town when Herzog Foundation Drilling incorporated and opened for business in 1974. From that time to the present Herzog Foundation Drilling has drilled most of the piers under the high rise buildings in downtown Austin, along Lady Bird Lake, and on The University of Texas campus, as well as the Texas State campus (Southwest Texas) in San Marcos. Also numerous buildings in both downtown San Antonio and at Fort Hood in Killeen. Projects include many landmarks such as the Holiday Inn on Lady Bird Lake, 100 Congress Avenue, Republic Plaza, Marriot Hotel at the Capital, and many more. There also remains a vast and lucrative untapped resource that could be pursued in highway projects for the State of Texas, if expansion was ever desired.
