Scope Of Work

The Aviation Maintenance Hangar at Fort Polk project, built for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, included the new construction of a 64,000 square foot aviation maintenance hangar located at Leesville, LA. The hanger houses a nine-bay maintenance facility and unmanned aerial vehicle shelter. The aviation maintenance hangar was constructed using a steel frame with masonry walls, block and insulated metal panel exterior, and a curved standing seam metal roof. The project also features two overhead cranes that travel the length of the hangar for servicing helicopters, three overhead hoist-up fabric doors, petroleum, oil and lubricants storage, hazardous materials storage, and pavements for taxiways, aviation aprons, parking pads, and hardstand areas. The Aviation Maintenance Hangar at Fort Polk now enhances aircraft combat operations on the Fort Polk Army Installation.
