Scope Of Work
The Armed Forces Reserve Center at Camp Minden project, built for the State of Louisiana Military Department, included the new construction of a two-story, 90,000 square foot military headquarters building located in Minden, LA. The facility functions as permanent, consolidated housing unit for the 1083rd Transportation Company, 39th Military Police Company, and the 122nd Air Support Operations Squadron. The military headquarters building was constructed with aluminum framed fixed windows, entrances, and a curtain wall system and incorporated Anti-Terrorism Force Protection strategies, consisting of security fencing, parking lots with nine-inch barrier curbs, and large scale natural rock boulders. The project also contains an assembly hall for dining or drills, vehicle maintenance building, restrooms with showers, and administrative offices. This project achieved LEED Silver Certification for from the U.S. Green Building Council for energy management systems with automated HVAC controls and efficient on-demand water use systems. The Armed Forces Reserve Center at Camp Minden is now fully equipped to train over 430 Reservists for combat readiness.
