Troup County native Charles Knight’s career in construction began as a laborer for his builder father, Hooper Knight, at the age of 15. Charles graduated from LaGrange High School, then Georgia Tech in 1965 with a degree in Building Construction.  He worked for E.I. DuPont de Nemours’ Construction Division for almost five years before returning to Troup County to partner with his father and brother, Walton, in Knight & Knight – General Contractors. 

Knight & Knight built several hundred homes in Troup and surrounding counties, built numerous commercial projects, and developed several subdivisions, including Woodfield, Merrill Heights, Northridge, and Riverside. 

Charles Knight Construction, LLC is a successor to Knight & Knight and continues its Tradition of Craftsmanship to build high quality homes and buildings throughout this area, as well as developing desirable neighborhoods through our affiliate, Knight & Knight, LLC.

We pride ourselves in using our construction and design background along with our desire to be environmentally friendly to incorporate value engineering into the homes and buildings we produce.  We can build from plans you provide, design your home using a modern CAD program, or refer you to an architect.
