Scope Of Work
A model of energy and cost efficiency, Riverbend was built to CHPS® standards for high performance schools at 40% of the typical design-built cost. Sited along the Yuba River, the K-8 campus connects students with the environment, with ten AMS modular buildings – containing classrooms, science labs, workrooms, office and custodial space— clustered around grassy outdoor space.
The Grid-Neutral design optimizes performance with PV panels on a standing seam roof, high-efficiency systems, daylighting and light sensors. The first recipient of the DSA Grid Neutral Schools and the CHPS Green Apple , Riverbend serves as a blueprint for sustainable and solar school design.
