Scope Of Work

Journey Community Church in Evans, Georgia was a design-build project for a new 8,646 square foot atrium and a 10,304 square foot renovation to the children's ministry building. During the design-build process, we completed several cost estimates to determine the final building size and to keep the design in budget.

The renovation portion of this project took place in an existing administrative building where church employees continued to work throughout construction. We were careful to cause the least amount of disruption as possible by moving the children's ministry to temporary modular units. The 2 story renovation consisted of 15 classrooms, a game room, new flooring, mill work, and jack & Jill bathrooms. An elevator was added to the building and a new staircase was built that features a custom paint job. 

The new atrium addition is phase 1 of a 2 phase build and features a pre-engineered building with standing seam roof. The building is designed with Phase 2 footing incorporated into the Phase 1 slab. The atrium connects the administrative & children's building to the sanctuary. The open concept interior features stacked stone and barn wood accent walls, a prayer wall made from storefront frames and glass, 2 brightly colored hanging clouds that house can lights and speakers and a stained concrete floor. It also houses 2 large, modern bathrooms, a wood trellis and servery.
