Scope Of Work
The new Woodrow Wilson Bridge was a five-year, $665 million project to provide a replacement bridge for the heavily traveled Route 95 bridge. Painting and mechanical contractors used Safway products during construction of the bridge. All three of the platforms were designed to travel down the bridge on trolley systems mounted on the platforms. A Space Frame platform system was used in the area between the "V"-shaped piers. Truss Frames were used on the edges of the bridge, and QuikDeck™ was used inside the "V"-shaped piers. The Woodrow Wilson Memorial Bridge spans the Potomac River between Alexandria, Va. and Prince George's County, Md.
