Ken Fernandez went into construction right out of high school and work on 100’s of construction jobs until starting General Drywall in 1974 doing drywall , metal framing, furring, spray ceilings, stucco, painting, acoustical ceilings and insulation. Our projects included commercial,residential and multi family.

In 1985 enrolled into Construction Academy and received a state Certified General Contractors license in 1986 at which time KenCo Builders ,Inc. was incorporated.

For the past 30 years our company has built hundreds of homes in south Florida. We were a model home builder for Coral Ridge Properties for over 10 years building custom homes in Coral Spring and Parkland with five operating models in seven communities until 2002.

We then began building custom homes in Plantation , Davie , Jacaranda , El Dorado Estates , Lago Mar , Plantation Acres , Rio Vista , Citrus Isle , Lauderdale Harbors in Broward County ,FL with many high end homes in east Ft. Lauderdale with ocean access.

We have also been doing additions/ remodeling/renovations, wood floors , door installation/repairs , trim and crown molding , drywall , stucco , knock down ceiling spray and home services.

Ken Jr. has been with the company since high school thru the DCT/OJT program and is vice president. He is job supervisor and personally installs the finish carpentry in our projects with 20 years experience.
