Scope Of Work
Pangea Engineering and Surveying, LLC was employed by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in the City of St. Louis, Missouri to provide surveying and design services to two separate sections of the historic stone wall surrounding the NGA’s south St. Louis City facility. Each of the two sections of historic stone wall and site improvements was approximately 1025’ long. Pangea performed full topographic surveys of the wall area, including streets, parking, lawns, and utilities. Site infrastructure improvements consisted of the design of new parking, streets, curbing and sidewalks and sub-drainage/foundation drains for the areas on both sides of each of the walls. Structural improvement designs included stone and stone cap removal and replacement, tuck pointing, and pier/foundation design for construction. Security improvement designs included new security fencing on top of and gates at the drive entrances to the facility. All wall and security improvements, whether structural or visual, had to meet the requirements of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, State Historic Preservations Office.
