Scope Of Work
The construction of this Walgreen's prototype design was completed in an extremely short time frame in order to meet its required opening date. The short duration of the project was complicated by the fact that it had to be built adjoining an existing retail center and in the midst of the existing parking lot. This resulted in an unusually difficult coordination of men, materials, and equipment to the site while not disturbing the operation of existing retail shops, traffic flow, and parking. This project was successfully completed despite these management difficulties while also adhering to the Town of Hilton Head's stringent guidelines for site work, tree preservation, and architectural styling. Walgreen's was extremely pleased and Construction Associates was asked to build Walgreen's Drug stores in other locations. This project of nearly $2,000,000 was completed in May of 1999.
