Scope Of Work
The Department of Juvenile Justice built this school to rehabilitate the lives of male delinquents. In 1995, the Department of Juvenile Justice established Bay Point Schools, Inc., as a pilot boarding school for 13- to 18-year-old juveniles, based on a theory that these boys are not mentally ill, sick, or born bad. In place of treatment, education, behavior modification and moral development are emphasized in a new innovative boarding-school approach based on the sociological model.
The project consisted of new construction of a two-story, 24,500 square-foot classroom building with approximately 11 classrooms targeted to accommodate 225 students.
