Scope Of Work
Ashley Hall was originally built in the 1920’s and required extensive structural, exterior facade, roofing and interior repairs and restoration. The interior space of the building was re-purposed and 1920’s materials were restored. Accessibility features were upgraded to include renovation of emergency egress areas and installation of a new elevator, eight new ADA restrooms were installed along with upgrades to the north and south ADA ramps. The building was retrofitted with new state of the art HVAC, mechanical, and electrical infrastructures. All work was performed in accordance with The Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties with Guidelines for Preserving, Rehabilitating Restoring and Reconstructing Historic Buildings. One of the challenges faced was maximization of the renovation scopes of work and addressing all restoration requirements within the established project budget. 2014 Sustainability Award for Historic Preservation by the University System of Georgia
