Jeff Joslin's Bio
Jeff Joslin graduated Mt. Pleasant High School in 1988. After high school he took a 2 year course in Computer Electronics at NEC Tech School in Grand Rapids, MI. He graduated with a 4.0 grade point average receiving an Associates Degree in Electronics. In October of 1990, after more then 2 years in Grand Rapids, he found himself back home to work in the family business that his grandfather and great uncle's had started which he carried on with his father & uncle at Mid-State Plumbing & Heating, Inc. There he learned the skills in the plumbing & heating industry from family members who are licensed plumber's and pipefitter's. While he worked in the field at first as a laborer, he joined the UA Local 85 Plumber's & Pipefitter's where served 4 years in the Apprenticeship Program and graduated as a Journeyman plumber and steamfitter. It wasn't long before he was learning the other aspects of the family business as a foreman and estimator. He has estimated multi-million dollar projects and experience running the day to day operations. At first, he was taught how to estimate jobs the old fashion way but it wasn't long before he convinced the older generation to estimate with computers & estimation programs back in the early 1990's. At that point, estimation was part of his full time duties, along with purchasing, and overseeing jobs in the field. Unfortunately, in the summer of 2011, Mid-State Plumbing & Heating, Inc. closed due to the economic downturn and the retirements of his father & uncle from the business and UA Local 85. Jeff wanted to seek out new adventures with his own company, so after spending the summer of 2011 helping close Mid-State Plumbing & Heating by finishing projects that were that were still ongoing, he started AJ's Plumbing PSI in October of 2011. He currently holds the Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors Licenses for the company
