Scope Of Work
When concerns arose over potential seepage issues below the San Joaquin River Levee system, KSN Consulting Engineers designed a solution calling for 4.75-inch open cell articulated concrete block mats. The mats provide a hard, armored protection to the toe of the levee. Manufactured by Basalite at the Tracy facility, approximately 56,000 sf. of tan blocks were assembled into mats and transported to the project site and installed. The project was completed in fall 2012.
